Registrations are now closed. Those wishing to be on the reserve list please email Damien Hughes, damien.hughesanu.edu.au

This workshop offers an opportunity for PhD students to explore the latest of atomic physics and ultracold atoms. The foundations, latest developments and future ideas will be presented through a series of tutorials by world leading experts, through discussion sessions and student presentations, posters and talks.

The workshop complements the ICAP conference which covers the most recent advances in the broad field of atomic physics, such as atomic tests of fundamental physics and basic symmetries; precision measurements (including atomic clocks, atom interferometers and fundamental constants); ultracold gases and Bose Einstein Condensates; ultracold Fermi gases; ultracold molecules; quantum simulators with atoms and ions; few-body systems; quantum information with atoms and ions; quantum optics and cavity QED with atoms; hybrid and optomechanical systems; and ultrafast phenomena and free electron lasers.

The venue will be a tropical resort that can accommodate all participants.   The location is Cape Tribulation (map) in far north Queensland, a world heritage listed area north of Cairns amongst tropical rainforest and access to the tropical beach.

We have a limited number of places for PhD students left to fill (there will be 80 attending students in total). If you are interested, please read below how to register your interest.
