QUANTUM ATOM OPTICS
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SUMMER SCHOOL
KIOLOA, AUSTRALIA
November 28 – December 1, 2007

Kioloa 2007 is an international student workshop in quantum and atom optics
to bring together PhD students, senior researchers and some honours
students for an opportunity to discuss basic techniques, latest results and a
vision for the future of our research field.
The workshop will be held at the Kioloa Campus of the ANU which is located
at the South Coast of New South Wales with free access to the beach, forest
and a relaxing rural environment.
The program will include tutorials leading to long summary lectures by leading
researchers in our field. It will include research talks reporting latest results
presented by PhD students from Europe and Australia/New Zealand and
poster presentations for all attending students.
This workshop will be held during the week before the international OSA
Conference on Quantum Optics Downunder (QAO 07). All currently
registered PhD students attending Kioloa will also attend QAO 07 and present their posters there. Researchers from ACQAO, IFRAF and the SFB
can attend Kioloa if they wish, but they will present their work only at QAO 07.
Cost for non-ACQAO participants is $AUD350 – covers the workshop,
accommodation, meals and transport from Canberra to Kioloa then onto
Wollongong if required.
