I tossed and turned in the night
Tamyka Bell
As I slumbered;
My eyes were closed
Yet I was restless...
Then I dreamed of you.
The wandering ceased;
I need to roam no longer
And would rather stay
Here in my home
With you.
I am
Locked out -
Not by accident,
Nor by necessity but rather
By my own free will.
As I stand now
Beneath the full moon,
I need only to open a book
For the words to flow out.
May my words caress you
Where my fingertips cannot;
When my lips must not taste you
May my eyes feast upon you.
And as the full moon sets,
This blue moon tonight,
I dream of you moreso.
I wake to find myself alone,
Yet never truly alone,
For you are always with me.
