Since you have lain with me here
The light is dim, yet it warms me,
What once was turbulent is now so still,

I have a new home,
A place of comfort where I am
Closer,
Still closer to you.
And the trees crowd in closer to see.
The peace that has settled here is incredible -
It inspires awe.
What once tasted bitter is now so sweet.
The truth was lifted from my shoulders and placed in my palms,
And you clasped my hand in yours,
Close to my heart,
And closer,
Still closer to you.
