Ok, it's posh name is 'Crux'. The five stars are called Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Epsilon Crucis. The two pointers, almost in a straight line with Gamma Crucis, are Alpha and Beta Centauri, sort of. Alpha Centauri, aka Toliman, aka Rigel Kent, is actually a binary star system Alpha Centauri A and Alpha Centauri B, and even then has a third orbiting companion Proxima Centauri. Don't confuse Alpha Centauri B with Beta Centauri. Beta Centauri, aka Hadar, aka Agena, is actually a double star system Hadar A and Hadar B, sort of. It turns out that Hadar A is actually a binary! Clear?
